Premade Pouch Packing Machine Price Guide 2026: Costs, Configurations & Buying Factors

For most premade pouch packaging projects we quote, the machine price is roughly $8,000 to $30,000. The actual price mainly depends on the machine structure, number of working stations, product being packed, and the filling system required.

For example, a simple single-station machine costs much less than an 8-station rotary machine. A powder product normally needs an auger filler, while snacks and other granules are more commonly paired with a multihead weigher. Liquids and pastes require another type of filling system. Even when the pouch packing machine looks similar, these differences can change the final quotation considerably.

Bag size, filling weight, pouch type, electrical component brands, and optional functions also need to be confirmed before an accurate price can be given. This is why premade pouch machines are normally quoted according to the actual packaging application rather than from one fixed price list.

How Much Does a Premade Pouch Packing Machine Cost?

Based on the configurations we commonly supply, our premade pouch packing machines generally range from $8,000 to $30,000 depending on the machine structure and configuration.

The number of stations is one of the main reasons for the price difference. A single-station machine uses a simpler working process and is suitable for applications where very high output is not required. An 8-station machine completes pouch feeding, opening, filling, sealing and other packaging steps at different stations around the machine, allowing the process to run more continuously and at a higher speed.

The filling system is another major part of the quotation. In actual projects, we select different systems according to the product:

Common ConfigurationReference Machine Price
Single-station premade pouch packing machine$8,000–$20,000
8-station premade pouch packing machine$20,000–$30,000
Premade pouch machine + auger filler for powder$18,000–$20,000
Premade pouch machine + multihead weigher and elevator for granules or food$20,000–$30,000
Premade pouch machine + liquid/paste filling system$15,000–$20,000
Customized packaging lineFrom around $20,000

For example, if a customer needs to pack powder, the quotation normally includes an auger filling system. For snacks, nuts, candies or other granules, a multihead weigher and feeding equipment may be required. Liquid or paste products need a pump or other suitable filling system. These configurations affect the total machine cost, so comparing only the price of the pouch packing machine itself can sometimes be misleading.

The prices above are reference machine prices based on common HONGDI configurations, not fixed quotations. The final cost depends on the product, filling weight, pouch size and type, required speed, electrical configuration, and optional functions. Export packaging, shipping, auxiliary equipment, and other project-related expenses are not included and will be calculated separately according to the final configuration and delivery requirements.

What Factors Affect Premade Pouch Packing Machine Price?

Two premade pouch packing machines may look similar in photos but have very different quotations. In our projects, the biggest price differences usually come from the number of working stations, the product and filling system, and the electrical configuration. Pouch specifications, filling weight, machine material, and optional functions also affect the final cost.

1. Number of Working Stations

The number of stations has a direct impact on both machine structure and price.

HONGDI commonly supplies single-station and 8-station premade pouch packing machines. A single-station machine has a simpler structure and is suitable when production speed is not the main priority. An 8-station rotary machine separates pouch feeding, opening, filling, sealing, and other operations into different working positions, allowing the packaging process to run more continuously.

Because the 8-station machine uses a more complex mechanical structure and is designed for higher output, its price is normally much higher than a single-station model.

2. Product Type and Filling System

The pouch machine itself is only one part of the complete packaging system. The product being packed determines what type of filling or dosing equipment needs to be added.

For example:

  • Powders usually require an auger filler.
  • Granules, snacks, nuts, and candies are often matched with a multihead weigher.
  • Liquids and pastes require a suitable pump or filling system.

The filling system can make a noticeable difference to the total quotation. This is why we normally ask what product the customer wants to pack before recommending a machine configuration.

3. Electrical Components and Control Configuration

Electrical brands can also create a significant price difference.

Some customers only need a standard control configuration, while others specify particular brands for the PLC, touchscreen, inverter, sensors, pneumatic components, or other electrical parts. These requirements are especially common for factories that already use certain component brands in their production lines and want easier maintenance or spare-parts management.

If a customer requests specific international brands or a higher-level control configuration, the machine cost will increase accordingly.

4. Pouch Size, Pouch Type and Filling Weight

Before confirming the machine, we also need to know the pouch width and length, filling weight, and pouch type.

A standard flat pouch is relatively straightforward, while zipper pouches or other special pouch designs may require additional opening or handling devices. Large bags or heavier filling weights may also require changes to the machine structure or filling system.

If the customer already has the pouch, sending us the pouch dimensions and a photo is usually the easiest way to confirm the correct configuration.

5. Machine Material and Optional Functions

Material requirements and optional functions are another part of the final quotation.

Depending on the customer’s product and factory requirements, the machine may need different material specifications or additional functions. Common options include:

  • Date coding
  • Zipper pouch opening device
  • Vacuum function
  • Nitrogen flushing
  • Dust collection
  • Metal detection
  • Checkweighing

These options are added according to the actual packaging process, so they are not automatically included in every machine quotation.

Premade Pouch Packing Machine Prices by Application

The same premade pouch machine can be combined with different filling systems, so the total equipment cost varies depending on the product being packed. Premade pouch systems are one of several automatic packaging machine solutions available for different products and production requirements. In our projects, powder, granule, and liquid products usually require quite different configurations.

Powder Packaging: About $18,000–$20,000

For powders such as flour, seasoning powder, milk powder, or similar products, a premade pouch machine is normally combined with an auger filling system.

The auger filler controls the dosing of the powder, while the pouch machine handles pouch feeding, opening, filling, and sealing. If the powder is dusty, the customer may also need a dust-control or extraction solution, which can add to the final cost.

For a common HONGDI powder packaging configuration, the equipment price is usually around $18,000–$20,000. The final quotation depends on the required filling weight, pouch size, speed, and whether additional functions are needed.

Granule and Food Packaging: About $20,000–$30,000

For snacks, nuts, candies, seeds, and other free-flowing granules, we normally recommend a multihead weigher with a premade pouch packing machine. An elevator or other feeding equipment is also commonly included in this type of system.

This configuration is usually more expensive because the weighing and feeding equipment adds to the complete system. For common HONGDI configurations, the equipment price is approximately $20,000–$30,000.

The number of weighing heads, required accuracy, production speed, and feeding method can all change the final quotation. For this reason, two customers packing similar products may still receive different equipment configurations.

Liquid and Paste Packaging: About $15,000–$20,000

Liquids and pastes require a filling system selected according to the product’s flow characteristics. Water-like liquids, sauces, oils, creams, and thicker pastes cannot always use the same filling method.

For common liquid or paste premade pouch packaging projects, the equipment price is usually around $15,000–$20,000.

Before selecting the filling system, we normally confirm what the product is and how easily it flows. Products containing particles or pieces may also require a different filling structure from smooth liquids or sauces.

These price ranges are useful for initial budgeting, but the product itself is only the starting point. Filling weight, pouch specifications, required output, and optional functions still need to be confirmed before the final machine configuration can be determined.

Hidden Costs to Consider Before Buying

The machine price is only one part of the total project budget. In actual quotations, customers may also need to consider export packaging, shipping, and auxiliary equipment depending on the final configuration.

Export Packaging and Shipping

Premade pouch packing machines are normally packed for export before shipment. Packaging and freight costs are not included in the reference machine prices above.

Shipping costs vary considerably depending on the destination, machine size, total shipment volume, and transport method. For this reason, freight is usually calculated only after the final equipment configuration and delivery location are confirmed.

Auxiliary Equipment

A complete packaging system may require more than the pouch packing machine and filling unit.

Depending on the product and production layout, additional equipment may include:

  • Feeding machine or conveyor
  • Product elevator
  • Working platform
  • Air compressor
  • Metal detector
  • Checkweigher

For example, a granule packaging line using a multihead weigher usually needs a feeding and lifting system, while some machine configurations require a suitable compressed-air supply. These items can increase the overall project cost and should be considered when comparing quotations from different suppliers.

This is also why a lower machine price does not always mean a lower total investment. When comparing quotations, it is better to check exactly what equipment is included and what still needs to be purchased separately.

If you are also comparing different packaging methods, our VFFS vs. premade pouch packaging comparison explains the differences in machine cost, bag compatibility, flexibility, and production requirements.

How to Get an Accurate Premade Pouch Packing Machine Quote

To prepare a suitable machine configuration and quotation, we normally need a few basic details about the customer’s packaging project.

The most important information includes:

  • Product to be packed
  • Filling weight per pouch
  • Number of pouch sizes and filling weights
  • Pouch dimensions (width × length)
  • Pouch type, such as flat pouch, stand-up pouch, or zipper pouch
  • Required packaging speed

If the pouch is already available, sending us a photo of the pouch is also very helpful. It allows our engineers to check the pouch structure and confirm whether any special opening or handling device is required.

Customers do not need to prepare a complete technical specification before contacting us. In many projects, we first confirm the product, pouch, filling weight, and expected output, and then recommend the suitable filling system and machine configuration based on these requirements.

If you are still comparing manufacturers before requesting a quotation, our guide to choosing a packaging machine supplier in China covers several points worth checking before making a final decision.
