On the one hand, with the expansion of the company’s business, the team size is gradually expanding, the familiarity and tacit understanding between old and new employees to be improved. Through the group building activities, to create a relaxed and pleasant communication environment, enhance mutual understanding, break the barrier between departments, and promote cross-departmental cooperation.
On the other hand, the pressure and tense rhythm of daily work make employees need a chance to release. The serene and solemn atmosphere of Shaolin Temple enables employees to temporarily get away from the hustle and bustle, relax physically and mentally, and return to work in a better state.

II. Scenery during the climb
I. Mountaineering Challenges
The climbing process was not easy, the first thing that came to our eyes was the “Hao Han Slope”, the steep mountain road and the gradually increasing altitude brought us a lot of challenges. Some employees were physically exhausted and their steps became heavy; some employees did not go through systematic training, so their body functions could not adapt to the rhythm quickly, which resulted in vomiting; however, in the face of difficulties, the team members supported each other and encouraged each other. The team members in front of them turned back from time to time to give a hand to their teammates behind them, and the team members with good stamina took the initiative to help the team members with poor stamina to carry their backpacks. With the joint efforts of everyone, we finally reached the summit. At that moment, joy and pride overflowed on everyone’s face, everyone cheered and enjoyed the joy of success. This mountaineering challenge made everyone deeply appreciate the power of unity and mutual help.
2. Visiting the Shaolin Temple
Walking into the Shaolin Temple is like travelling through time and space and stepping into the long river of history. Inside the temple, there are ancient trees and solemn halls. Following the guide’s explanation, we learnt about the long history and deep cultural heritage of Shaolin Temple. From being built by Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty for the Indian monk Tremendous, to Bodhidharma’s establishment of Zen Buddhism by facing the wall here for nine years, to the subsequent development and inheritance, every part of the history is full of legendary colours. During the visit, the employees were deeply attracted by the elements of Zen, martial arts and medicine in Shaolin culture. They felt the wisdom of Zen, experienced the charm of Shaolin Kung Fu, and had a preliminary understanding of the profoundness of Shaolin Zen medicine.
III. Gains from the Mission
In this Shaolin Temple group building activity, the relationship between employees was significantly strengthened through the collaboration of the mountaineering project. We trusted each other, encouraged each other, and worked together to overcome our inner fears. This experience of facing challenges together made the staff understand more about the power of teamwork and made them more willing to support and collaborate with each other in their daily work. During the visit to Shaolin Temple, we listened to the history and culture together, exchanged each other’s feelings, and enhanced mutual understanding and recognition. After the activity, the staff communicated more frequently with each other, cooperated more smoothly, and the cohesion of the team was greatly improved.
IV. Vision for the future
The Shaolin Temple group building activity has undoubtedly injected a strong impetus for the future development of Hongdi Machinery.
